A New Electrified Trail Leader: 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid TrailSport

2026 Honda CR-V Trailsport - Goderich Honda - Honda dealer in Goderich

For the first time in its history, the Honda CR-V is available with both the TrailSport off-road design philosophy and the brand’s proven two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain. This new addition broadens the scope of the CR-V lineup and positions the best-selling hybrid SUV in Canada as a viable option for adventurous families and outdoor enthusiasts who also value efficiency.

The CR-V Hybrid TrailSport is built at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario, and features a bold aesthetic with exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint, piano black accents, and TrailSport-specific 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels wrapped in Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires. Its revised front and rear styling—along with a silver front skid garnish and exposed orange TrailSport badging—sets it apart from the rest of the CR-V lineup.

Beyond appearance, this CR-V is engineered for light off-road use thanks to upgraded traction control logic. At speeds below 14 km/h, the system adjusts torque and braking force individually across each axle to maintain grip on uneven or slippery terrain. This is paired with Honda’s Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System™ as standard equipment.

Inside, the TrailSport Hybrid delivers comfort and connectivity, including heated front seats and steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital instrument display, a 9-inch HD centre touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a wireless charger, and rugged all-weather floor mats with TrailSport logos. Amber ambient lighting and TrailSport-embroidered seat headrests complete the cabin's distinctive ambiance.

Under the hood, Honda’s fourth-generation hybrid-electric powertrain delivers 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, ensuring confident passing power, smooth acceleration, and impressive fuel efficiency for city and highway driving. This model plays a central role in Honda’s electrification strategy, with hybrids now making up over 65% of CR-V sales and more than 40% of total Honda brand sales in Canada.

The Ultimate Adventure SUV: All-New 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport

2026 Honda Passport TrailSport - Goderich Honda - Honda dealer in Goderich

While the CR-V TrailSport enhances capability within the compact segment, the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport takes things a significant step further. Reengineered from the ground up and launching later this year, the new Passport is the most off-road-capable Honda SUV ever, built for Canadians seeking genuine trail performance without compromising interior space or on-road refinement.

Every 2026 Passport is powered by a proven V6 engine and paired with Honda’s torque-vectoring i-VTM4® all-wheel drive system. Standard on all trims is an off-road tuned suspension that improves articulation and ground contact, reinforced steel skid plates to protect vital underbody components, and bright orange recovery hooks that signal its trail-ready identity. The specially developed all-terrain tires provide grip across mud, gravel, rocks, and snow.

New for this year is the first-ever Passport TrailSport Touring trim, which elevates the off-road experience with luxury-level comfort and advanced trail-assistance technology. A highlight is the TrailWatch™ camera system, offering live views of the terrain ahead, under the vehicle, and around the wheels to help guide drivers through tight and uneven paths. Inside, the TrailSport Touring adds perforated leather seating and a high-fidelity 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, making it equally adept for long road trips and weekend getaways.

The Passport’s design reinforces its mission. The cabin is wide, open, and practical with expanded cargo and passenger space compared to its predecessor. Interior details include new soft-touch materials, contrast stitching, and TrailSport branding throughout. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Passport introduces the broadest range of Honda Genuine Accessories ever, including durable rock sliders, roof basket options, and the return of the stowable picnic table, a fan-favourite that enhances campground versatility.

The 2026 Passport TrailSport will be offered in four distinct trims: TrailSport, TrailSport Touring, TrailSport Blackout, and TrailSport Touring Blackout, each combining capability with varying levels of equipment and visual distinction. With this broad lineup, Honda ensures there is a Passport model suited for every type of explorer.
